Welcome to ChronoScout. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ChronoScout ("ChronoScout," "we," "us") governing your use of the ChronoScout website and application at chronoscout.app (the "Service"). Please read them carefully.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use ChronoScout.
ChronoScout is an analytics tool for watch resellers. It surfaces watch listings, estimates market values and potential resale economics, and assigns scores based on our own deterministic calculations.
ChronoScout provides estimates, not guarantees. Our valuations, Deal Scores, and projections are analytical opinions generated from available data. Actual market outcomes may differ, sometimes substantially.
Not financial or investment advice. Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for your purchasing and selling decisions.
No authenticity claims. ChronoScout provides analytical estimates and risk indicators. It does not guarantee authenticity, condition, provenance, or resale value. Professional authentication is recommended before purchasing high-value watches.
ChronoScout is not a marketplace. We do not sell watches, broker transactions, or take part in any purchase you make on a third-party platform.
You need an account to use most of the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. One account per person; accounts may not be shared or transferred.
Plans. ChronoScout offers paid subscription tiers: Scout ($79/month), Radar ($249/month), Terminal ($599/month), and Enterprise (custom pricing from $1,499/month), with different usage limits and features. Annual billing is available on the self-serve tiers. Current plans, prices, and limits are listed on our pricing page, which controls if it differs from these Terms. We may also offer a limited free tier.
Billing. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your card number. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.
Auto-renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, not immediately. You keep full access for the remainder of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again after that. We do not pro-rate, credit, or refund the unused part of a period you have already started, because the plan remains available to you for all of it.
Usage limits. Each plan includes monthly usage limits (for example, on analyses and saved deals). Limits reset each billing cycle and unused capacity does not roll over.
Business use. ChronoScout is a professional tool sold for use in a trade or business. By subscribing you confirm you are acting for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession, and not as a consumer. Consumer cancellation and withdrawal rights that apply to purchases made outside a business therefore do not apply to your subscription.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' advance notice. Changes apply at your next renewal after the notice period.
Accounts created before August 30, 2026 at 04:03 UTC ("Pilot Accounts") receive full access to the Service free of charge through September 18, 2026. After that date, Pilot Accounts move to the then-current free tier unless a paid subscription is purchased. During the pilot, features, limits, and data sources may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. Pilot access is a courtesy and does not create an ongoing entitlement.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
The Service displays and analyzes data licensed from or provided by third parties:
eBay listings. Listing content (titles, photos, prices, descriptions) belongs to the respective sellers and eBay and is displayed under license via eBay's official APIs. Listings are refreshed periodically and removed from display when they end or are delisted; displayed information may lag the live marketplace. Some links to eBay are affiliate links through the eBay Partner Network, and ChronoScout may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them, at no cost to you.
WatchCharts market data. Market values are licensed from WatchCharts and are attributed "Powered by WatchCharts" wherever shown. This data may not be extracted, redistributed, or used outside the Service.
Availability may change or end. Live listing and market data depend on third-party licenses and APIs that we do not control. Those licenses may be modified, suspended, or terminated, and the corresponding data or features may be reduced, suspended, or removed from the Service — in whole or in part, with or without notice — including during or after any license trial period. We are not liable for the accuracy, completeness, or continued availability of third-party data.
Some features use artificial intelligence to generate plain-language explanations (for example, the "Deal Analyst"). These explanations describe figures already computed by our deterministic engines — AI never computes valuations, scores, or economics. AI-generated text may nonetheless contain errors, omissions, or awkward phrasing, and should not be relied on as a substitute for your own judgment or the underlying figures.
The Service — including its software, design, scoring methodology, and content we create — belongs to ChronoScout and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own business or personal use while your account is in good standing. You retain ownership of data you enter (such as recorded outcomes and notes), and you grant us the right to use it to provide and improve the Service.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ESTIMATES WILL BE ACCURATE, THAT DEALS WILL BE PROFITABLE, THAT LISTINGS WILL BE AVAILABLE OR AUTHENTIC, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) CHRONOSCOUT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM PURCHASES OR SALES YOU MAKE IN RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE; AND (b) CHRONOSCOUT'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIABILITY LIMITATIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Subscription payments are non-refundable. When you pay for a billing period, that payment is earned in full at the start of the period and stays with us for the whole of it. Cancelling partway through does not produce a refund or a credit: it stops the next renewal, and your access continues until the period you paid for ends. This applies whether you cancel on day one or day thirty, and whether or not you used the Service during the period.
Two limits on the above, stated plainly. First, we always provide refunds where applicable law requires one that cannot be excluded. Second, if we charge you in error, or we discontinue a paid feature mid-period, contact us at [email protected] and we will put it right.
Outside those cases we may still issue a refund or credit at our sole discretion, and doing so once does not oblige us to do so again.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy for data deletion). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service; where practical, we will give reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 9–12 and 14) survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will give notice — such as by email or an in-app notice — at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of the state in which ChronoScout's operator is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Courts located in the state in which ChronoScout's operator is organized have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, and both parties consent to that venue, except where applicable law gives you the right to proceed elsewhere.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and pricing page, are the entire agreement between you and ChronoScout regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
